At Ilha Grande In Natura you can also discover the most preserved and native side of the island. In both Araçatiba Cove and Praia Vermelha you can live alongside the native Caiçara people. They are a mix of indigenous, Portuguese and African heritage. The Caiçaras have a strong connection with the island's seas, sailing in their colorful wooden boats. You may also see them hand-weaving their nets on the beaches around our inns.

The inns have kayaks and SUP boards that you can rent to explore and discover incredible places on our island.
SPEEDBOAT TRIPS
Every morning we organize trips for our guests to the most paradise-like places around us. Depending on the weather and sea conditions, we decide the destination of the day at breakfast. Departures to Lopes Mendes, Aventureiro and Meros. You can see more on our YouTube channel (Click here!).
APARTMENT ON THE MAINLAND
For those who wish to stop on the mainland and stay in one of the most exclusive condominiums of the Costa Verde, we have our apartment Cantinho da Ilha, located in the Porto Real resort in Conceição de Jacareí. (Learn more)
RESTAURANTS
We have restaurants at Pousada Dolce Vita, Lagamar and Pousada Cruzoé, each with a full menu specializing in local Caiçara dishes made with fish and vegetables supplied by local producers. The Lagamar restaurant will be open during the summer season.
TRANSFER
To reach our side of the island you will need to travel by land to ANGRA DOS REIS, PORTO SANTA LUZIA (this is the only point from which you can cross, no other!).
From there, take a boat to Praia Vermelha (Pousada Dolce Vita and Lagamar) or to Araçatiba (Pousada Cruzoé). The recommended transport is the Flex Boat Natiga. You can check the schedules and buy your ticket in advance on their website. The crossing takes approximately 40 minutes.

You can also take one of the wooden boats at the fishermen's pier. In that case, the crossing takes approximately 2 hours.
